Hand-Painted Pink & Pastel Ceramic Quail Figurine

Y'all know I cannot resist a fabulous bird, and this one has everything going for her. Pink, lavender, aqua, metallic gold and layer upon layer of hand-painted feathers. She is wonderfully over-the-top in exactly the right way.

DESCRIPTION

A wonderfully whimsical hand-painted ceramic quail featuring layers of dimensional feathers in pink, soft aqua, lavender, cream and metallic gold.

Each overlapping feather is individually detailed, giving the piece incredible texture and dimension from every angle. A rosy pink head and breast, expressive painted eye and metallic gold beak finish the colorful design.

The substantial rounded form makes this more than a small figurine. It has enough presence to stand alone as a decorative object while still being easy to tuck into a bookshelf, console, mantel or collected tabletop.

We love it mixed among blue-and-white porcelain, vintage glass, books, brass and other collected curiosities. It would also be fantastic incorporated into a spring or Easter display without feeling overtly seasonal.
